Dovetail Log Homes is the offspring of the Piché family's passion for tradition and work well done. Our first attempt to restore a genuine ancestral log house dates back to 1963, which makes us the first dovetail log home company in Canada. In the years that followed, we scoured the countryside seeking such houses. You can find in front of our head office in Ste-Agathe, "Mt-Castor" a log home village of more than one hundred centennial log homes initially built by our ancestors over 200 years ago. Although they were quite rare, they were part of our patrimony and their popularity grew very rapidly. That is why we decided to innovate a construction method utilizing new wood. We are the first patentee of several log construction techniques and machinery. We are proud to offer a flexible, energy efficient product that combines the style of yesterday with today's comfort, a house that lasts centuries. Present production capacity: 5 houses per day. Biography: Dovetail Log Homes is a third generation family business established in the Laurentian mountains of Quebec, 90 km north of Montreal. It is the first and largest log home company in Eastern Canada with 36 years of experience and a production capacity of 5 houses per day. It is the largest 100% Canadian log home company. Thousands of units have been sold to date to various countries and regions such as Columbia, The French Indies, Spain, Germany, Austria, Jamaica, Switzerland, Japan, Korea, The Middle East, Belgium, France, Russia, The Netherlands and U.S.A. Dovetail Log Homes is the inventor and patentee of the machinery that produces the beautiful interlocking dovetail corners, used all over the world. It still continues to strive toward innovation and excellence in both products and services.
